Hello! Good Day!
To anyone out there who still stops by, reads, and or follows this blog... THANK YOU!!!
Yes, I am still here, and I hope to be more regular around here in the future.
My schedule looks to soon be freeing up, and I've been dreaming about getting this blog going again, spending more time in my craft room (which, I hope to show you in a future post).
I'm excited to think about the possibilities, and I'm bursting with ideas!!!
Please be patient as I work on the blog, and learn again how to blog. It seems that so much has changed in the bloggy world, and I have much to learn. :)
It also seems that there are so many things to learn in the crafty/scrappy paper world as well! It's been so long since I've been able to sit down and play with my goodies, but I'm enjoying the creative process, and have been watching lots of tutorials.
I've just recently discovered a fun water color technique, using my Tim Holtz distress inks.
I'm not too accomplished yet, but I'm loving the learning process. I'm finding it to be very relaxing. I'm one of those quiet, meditative painters now. haha!
Here's my first ever card made using this fairly recent to me, but not the rest of the craft world technique.
I used the water color technique on the flowers in the mason jar. I stamped my image using a MME stamp, and filled it in with watered down Tim Holtz distress ink using a paint brush. I also used a new technique I learned for the background. I used my ink dauber to gently swirl ink over a stencil, and this was the result. So much fun!
I hope I've inspired you to play and try something out of your crafty comfort zone. You just might love the results!
Blessings,
