First Word Art Wednesday Card of 2017

Hello!
I'm so excited to be back sharing my first card of 2017!  Literally, I made this card on Jan. 3rd! How awesome is that?  haha!
No, really, I'm just so glad to be back.  Back to blogging, back to card making, back to being a full-time mom and wife.
While I'm so appreciative of all that I learned while working for a local photography company, I'm glad to be finished working for them, at least for now.  I realized how much I love being a stay at home mom and running my household.
I also missed running my own little side business.  Whether blogging, creating cards to sell, or shooting my own photography sessions.  I missed all of it.  So, believe me when I say that I'm glad to be back, and even more happy to be back with a Word Art Wednesday card.   How fitting that a Word Art Wednesday card should be my first card of 2017.

Ps. 107:2,  such simple and yet profound verse.  As I think on this verse I'm reminded of what the goal of my life is to be, what the goal of this year should be, to bring honor and glory to my Saviour.  What better way to do that, than to tell of how He redeemed me!

Misty D. Designs

"Redeemed, Redeemed, Redeemed by the blood of the lamb"!
Yes, I am redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus and because of that I am His!
And you can be too!
Jesus died for all who would put their complete trust in Him alone.  Not in their good works, but in Him alone.  Trusting that it is He who has redeemed you from the power of your sin, and it's wages.
I will say so, Yes, I am redeemed by Jesus Christ's finished work on the cross.  I can not redeem myself, Jesus did it all for me.  My sin debt has been paid!  Yes, I will say so...

Back with a Word Art Wednesday Card

Hi everyone!
I've been MIA for quite some time now.   I've started working for a local photography company and between my new job, my daughter's school activities, church ministries, and just trying to maintain somewhat of a liveable home, the blog, of course, fell to the way-side.
But, I'm so glad to be back to share the latest Word Art Wednesday design with you all.
The verse for this week is such a reminder to me that God is never too busy for us and He will never allow His children to fall by the wayside.

Here is my card:

I'm so glad and thankful that God willingly gave His only son that I and all those who place their complete trust in Him may have life.  Eternal Life!

I chose bright, happy colors for this card, because that's what the gospel makes me feel.... happy!

I used an old Websters Pages paper line for this card called Botanical Christmas.  I also used lots of random embellishments from my stash...:)

I invite to come play along with us at Word Art Wednesday.  We love to see your creations. Also, remember that Word Art Wednesday is on Instagram.  Tag your creations #wawchallenge and you just might be featured!

Thankfulness and a New Word Art Wednesday Card

Hi everyone,
I'm back to share my newest Word Art Wednesday card design.  I'm a little late in getting this out due to a having had a massive migraine the last couple of days.  But with that being said, I'm so thankful to be back and to have the blessing of creating in my craftroom using Karen's beautifully designed word art.
Here is my card:

If there is any reason to be thankful it's for what this verse reminds us of.   Our Lord is a great God and a great king above all gods!

I used paper from My Minds Eye and embellishments from Echo Park, The Paper Studio, and Jolee's.

Isn't this just such an encouraging verse?!   I'm so glad that my God knows all, that there is none like Him.  None can know His thoughts.  That's why I made a card using a sky/cloud theme.   This verse just reminds me that God is above all, so the theme just sort of worked with what I was thinking about God.

The paper that I chose for my card is DCWV Sunday Afternoon stack.  I fussy cut the clouds from the same paper that I used as my base.  I then layered them using foam dimensional tape.   lastly, I added a hot air balloon sticker from Echo Park, some enamel dots from MME, some twine at the top and Nuvo crystal drops in Robins Egg Blue around the edge of the verse.
