Jeremiah 32:17 Word Art Wednesday Card

Hi There!
I'm back once again for another Word Art Wednesday.  I'm so glad to have had the respite of crafting a card this weekend.  This week has been very busy for me and feels like it's been so long already.  I've been spending about 4hrs. a day studying for a business course that I'm taking.   I'll be working 2 days this week at my daughter's school substitute teaching, and therefore I'm trying to quickly finish reading "To Kill a Mockingbird" to prepare.   I feel worn out already... but what seems hard for me in my own strength is never too hard for my God!  I'm so grateful for the reminder this week's word art has been to me.  I'm constantly in need of being reminded of the promises of God and who God is.
The word art for this week is taken from Jer. 32:17.
Here is my design:

Still feeling the inspiration of my last post,  I chose to use the same paper line and color scheme.  I even did some of the same watercolor splatters.  I printed the verse onto vellum and just adhered at the end using the ric rac.  Lastly, I added a few embellishments and I was done.

I'd love to have you join in the challenge at Word Art Wednesday.  You are not required to use the word art to play along, but we love it when you do!  The challenge is always "anything goes", so your creative options are endless.

A special shout out to my crafty friend Esther, who made the little yellow crochet hearts that are in my pics.  She mailed them out to me last week and I can't wait to create with them.  Stop by her blog, "Shoregirl's Creations" here,  she is currently offering some cute free printables of which I also can't wait to make use of.

Thanks for stopping by today,
Blessings,

Layout Inspired Card #2

Hi there!
I'm so excited to be posting today because I wasn't really sure if this day would happen.  Those of you who've been following my blog for awhile may remember my first Layout Inspired Card post.  If not, feel free to take a look here.  At the time I had hoped to start a series, and regularly share cards with you all that were inspired by layouts I'd found on Pinterest.  But, as life got busy, it seemed that the series wouldn't happen.  Soooo, that's the reason for my excitement today.   After all this time, I'm here to share my 2nd, Layout Inspired Card!!!
I feel like I can now really call it a series. haha!

The layout that inspired my card today was designed by the talented Missy Whidden.

I couldn't seem to find the original link to this layout, but you can visit Missy's blog, Little Nugget Creations here

Missy used paper on her layout from Pink Paislee's Citrus Bliss line.  I have this paper line in a 6x6 pad and thought it would be perfect for a card.
Here is my layout inspired card:

I used the same color scheme and papers as Missy did, but instead of leaves I chose to use feathers.  I die cut my feathers using a MME "niche On Trend" die cut plate.
I also die cut my scalloped frame using my Taylored Expressions cutting plate.
I added some water colored paint splatters to mimic some of the details on Missy's layout.

I adhered my die cut feathers using foam dimensional tape.   I also added sewing thread and gold sparkle enamel hearts to pick up a few more elements from Missy's layout.
Lastly, I used my "thanks" stamp also from Taylored Expressions.  I gold embossed it and adhered it with dimensional tape.
This is one of my favorite ways to get ideas for a card.  I encourage you to give it a try for yourself and let me know if you do.  I'd love to see what you come up with and the layouts that inspire you.

Thank you for stopping by today!

The Greatest of these is LOVE! Word Art Wednesday Card for February 1st

Welcome back for another Word Art Wednesday
I'm so excited to share this weeks card with you all.  The verse comes from my favorite chapter in the Bible and the theme allowed me to play with papers using some of my favorite colors.   I just had so much fun with this one!

What a fitting verse for this time of year.   The word "charity" in this verse means love.  The love this verse speaks of is not a mushy, euphoric feeling such as the world would think of love.  This is a self-sacrificial love that is only found in Jesus.  He is our perfect example of that love lived out, and He paid the ultimate price to make us a partaker of His love.
Only Christ could love us this much!

The lovely Word Art is available for your personal use at the Word Art Wednesday Blog.  We'd love to see it used in your creations. But, it's not required to play along.

Paper and stickers for my card are from Echo Parks' "love story" line.  Embellishments are from my stash.
Remember, The challenge at Word Art Wednesday is as always "anything goes".  We love to see your creativity.
