Layout Inspired Card #2

Hi there!
I'm so excited to be posting today because I wasn't really sure if this day would happen.  Those of you who've been following my blog for awhile may remember my first Layout Inspired Card post.  If not, feel free to take a look here.  At the time I had hoped to start a series, and regularly share cards with you all that were inspired by layouts I'd found on Pinterest.  But, as life got busy, it seemed that the series wouldn't happen.  Soooo, that's the reason for my excitement today.   After all this time, I'm here to share my 2nd, Layout Inspired Card!!!
I feel like I can now really call it a series. haha!

The layout that inspired my card today was designed by the talented Missy Whidden.

I couldn't seem to find the original link to this layout, but you can visit Missy's blog, Little Nugget Creations here

Missy used paper on her layout from Pink Paislee's Citrus Bliss line.  I have this paper line in a 6x6 pad and thought it would be perfect for a card.
Here is my layout inspired card:

I used the same color scheme and papers as Missy did, but instead of leaves I chose to use feathers.  I die cut my feathers using a MME "niche On Trend" die cut plate.
I also die cut my scalloped frame using my Taylored Expressions cutting plate.
I added some water colored paint splatters to mimic some of the details on Missy's layout.

I adhered my die cut feathers using foam dimensional tape.   I also added sewing thread and gold sparkle enamel hearts to pick up a few more elements from Missy's layout.
Lastly, I used my "thanks" stamp also from Taylored Expressions.  I gold embossed it and adhered it with dimensional tape.
This is one of my favorite ways to get ideas for a card.  I encourage you to give it a try for yourself and let me know if you do.  I'd love to see what you come up with and the layouts that inspire you.

Thank you for stopping by today!
Blessings,
