I'm stopping in today because I want to share a Free Printable with you all.  I've been so blessed to see the growth of this blog recently that I wanted to give back, and share the love.  As you might know, I've just recently joined the design team over at Word Art Wednesday,  I've opened my Etsy Shop, and had my first sale, and the blog has just surpassed 45,000 views. Woohoo!  I just have to celebrate, and celebrations call for gifts!  

This print really does say it all.  God gives us so much that we don't deserve, and can't possibly earn.  Most importantly salvation!

Hello Again

Hello Again!
 I know, I know, its been over a year since I've last posted! My how time flies! I'm not even going to make excuses for why I've been absent for so long, I've just been living life, and sometimes the blog takes a back seat. :)
I'm also not going to make any promises about future posts, although I do have much that I would love to share with you all. For starters, I would like to finish sharing the rest of the "Sweet Baby Girl" album with you.
What I will say is this, Thank You! thank you to all the readers who've continued to follow and view this little blog during my absence, and thank you to all of you who will read my blog today, and continue to support my struggling venture in bloggy land. :) I appreciate it so much!

So as a thank you gift, I wanted to share a free printable with you today. I've been thinking about God's grace, and His priceless gift to us, that is free for all who will receive Christ as their Lord and personal Savior and friend.  What a price our Lord paid to give us eternal life, and so much more that we do not deserve, that's grace, God blessing us abundantly with" riches in Heavenly places" that we are not worthy of receiving, all because He loves us.

Sweet Baby Girl Chipboard Album Part 3

Hello! I hope you've all been enjoying your holiday weekend. I know that I have. It's been great to spend so much time with my family. Playing games, shopping, watching fireworks, eating out, and working on home improvement projects together. I wish it could last just a little longer, but Monday is fast approaching. 

So, here I am.  Back to show you more pictures of the Sweet Baby Girl Album. If you've missed any of the previous posts then I should explain that this is a very large album, and I did not want to overwhelm anyone, particularly myself :) by sharing the entire album in one post. So I've broken it down into a series so to speak. :) You may view part 1 of the album here, and part 2 here. Enjoy!

Today I am sharing pages 7 thru 10 with you, here goes!

I used Echo Park Sweet Day, and Simple Stories Sn@p Papers for this layout. Along with some MME and hand made embellishments. 

In each album I make, I usually have a few pages that I really like, and a few that I am not so pleased with. This is one of the pages that I really like. 

I just really like the fun scallops. I made the scallops by using my 1/2 in. circle punch and punched out circles on various patterned paper from my scraps. I distressed the edges then layered them to resemble scallops, and finished it off with some red pearls. 

 pages 9 and 10. Once again using the same paper lines. 

I really like how this cluster came out, I wanted to use my jeweled butterfly so badly, and she just seemed to fit here. :) I've used floweres from petaloo, and recollections. the journal tag is a free printable from Tania over at the Wild@heart blog. 

 As usual I've used free printables to embellish my page. The label is from Tania's Wild@Heart blog.

and the 2013 ticket is found at U printables.

I used Prima, Petaloo, and recollections flowers in this cluster, I layered them over a MME Doilie sticker. I heavily distressed the sticker, and added pink pearls around the center.

Sweet Baby Girl Chipboard Album

Hello Everyone, I sure hope you're enjoying your weekend. I know I am... I've spent the day thoroughly enjoying me some housework. Haha.  All joking aside, it does feel good to have a clean house, it's just the getting there that isn't quite so fun. 

On another note, I've also been working hard on the blog. For some reason I could not figure out, all the new e-mail subscribers were being sent posts from my old blog, so in order to solve that problem, I deleted the old blog. It was a little scary at first, but it had to be done. Now, it's just this little ole blog left standing, hopefully it will make it. :)

So, of course, why am I blogging today anyways? Because I've got some fun stuff to show you! I have spent almost every evening for the last 8 weeks working on an album for a good friend of mine. She is due to deliver a baby girl any day now, and I wanted to create something for her. This friend of mine had mentioned to me in passing that she just did not have the time to scrapbook anymore, with soon to be four little ones running around, she didn't think she would find the time either. So I made an album that she can just add the pictures, and a little journaling to make it her own. In addition I thought being made by me would be a special gift for baby.  

Now, let me warn you. This album is loaded, a full 20 pages to show you. So I will have to spread it out over a few posts. I hope you all stick with me, and will find some inspiration to create a work of pretty papers melded together for someone special.

Here is the front cover, this is not your typical sized album. In fact it is much larger sized. Just slightly smaller than a 12x12. I found this chipboard album at Micheals. I began by painting all edges using white acrylic paint. 

I used paper from 4 different collections for this album... Echo Park Country Drive, and Sweet Day Collections,  Simple Stories Snap collection, and DCWV Sunday Afternoon collection. I also embellished using my own hand made goodies, along with much more from my stash... 

Here are the first 2 pages from the album.

I tried to coordinate each 2 page layout together, giving more flow to the album. 

For this page I used Echo Park County Drive paper and journal tag. The photo mats are simple stories snap paper. The chipboard flowers are from my stash, and the wooden lady bug is from Micheals. The flower trim at the bottom of the photo mat I bought from Walmart. The stamped sentiment on the journal tag is from MME. 

Once again more country drive paper. I layered the photo mat over a paper doilie and a K and Company Vellum embellishment. 

Here I used a handmade fabric and button goodie, a basic grey felt bloom. I cut a flower from the trim I had used on the previous page, and a canvas heart from basic grey that I machine stitched down the middle. I adhered some fuzzy yarn under the cluster, and finished it off with wooden lady bugs. The cute blond girl, and journal tag are free printables found HERE, and HERE.

Summer Watermelon Tag Card

Hello Y' all. I am so ready for summer.  I'm ready to relax. I use the term relax loosely, it's more like a different kind of work that I will be doing, but sometimes just a change in schedule can feel very relaxing. I'm looking forward to having my son home, and getting to spend more time with both of my kiddos. I'm also looking forward to spending more time in my craft space without feeling guilty, as spending time crafting when I should be teaching/homeschooling doesn't have quite the same feel. : p 

I thought I would share a card that I created with that summer feeling in mind. It just cheers my day. :)

 I apologize for the poor picture, I took this with my old point and shoot camera, Uck! I would rather take a pic with my Canon any day. 

I made this card for a friend of mine, can you guess her name? ;) 

The watermelon tag is of course a FREE PRINTABLE! I scored this pretty tag from the Sweetly Scrapped blog. If you would like to print one for yourself stop on over for a visit, she has lots of pretty free goodies. 

I mounted the tag to red checker paper from My Minds Eye, it reminds me of a summer picnic. The raspberry dimensional sticker is something I picked up from a dollar bin at Micheal's. 

It's a little hard to tell from the picture, but the green gingham print is actually fabric. The fabric added a nice homemade touch to the card. I hope you enjoy your day, and are inspired by your visit. Thank you for stopping by,

Mother's Day Goodies

Hello, may I ask a question? Where did the month of April go? It seemed to just whiz by! And now we're into the month of May. With that being said, I realized that Mother's Day is fast approaching. Next Sunday to be exact! So I decided to get right to work creating some fun printable Mother's Day gift tags. 

After designing the tags, I chose to use one as a card base for my very own dear mom. 

Here's what I did to create this card:

1. distress edges of tag and card using Close to my heart basics ink in slate and chocolate. 

2. using viva's glass effect pen draw over the Mom sentiment. 

3. Stamp family history sentiment onto a precut banner. ( MME indie chic)

4. machine stitch around the tag, and banner. 

5. adhere doilies and tag to card base

6. stamp medallions on tag ( MME indie chic)

7. adhere flourish stickers

8. using a hot glue gun adhere the fabric flower

9. glue the family history banner just under the fabric flower

10. fussy cut woman image from 2nd tag

11.  adhere the fussy cut woman over the corresponding image using dimensional foam tape.

In this close up you can see the machine stitching and the raised effect that fussy cutting the woman gives.
