Close to My Heart, Birthdays and a Winner!

Alright, I will not delay this any longer. I know that you've been waiting to find out who the winner of the My Memories V.3 is..... CONGRATULATIONS! Marianne Fisher. I hope you enjoy creating with your new software! I can't wait to see what you come up with!

In recent news, I received my order this week from a company called Close to My Heart, and I loved it. This is what I ordered:

Canvas badge buttons

irresistibles lots of dots

clear acrylic cards

basic mini ink pads

Once I tore open the box, I could not wait to use my new toys. So, considering that I had four birthdays this week, I decide to get right to work making a birthday card.

I started with the clear acrylic card as my base and My Minds Eye Paper. If you've never made a card using acrylic, I encourage you to give it a try, it's so pretty, and unique. I used the mini ink pads to distress my paper, and they are the best inks I've ever used! I am not compensated in any way for saying that, I truly like this ink, and it will probably be the ink I buy for all of my future projects.

I fussy cut the butterfly from the patterned My Minds Eye Paper, then glued it to a chipboard butterfly from my stash that I had inked. Then adhered 3 pearls from my stash. The Happy Birthday lettering is from The Girls Paperie sticker pad.  The tan lace trim I ordered from a daily deal site called Pick Your Plum... it's local, so I don't pay shipping!

The resin flower I also ordered from Pick Your Plum. The frame is from Prima Marketing.

This is the inside of the card, once again more My Minds Eye Paper, and the rub-ons are from my stash  I think they are from S.E.I.

So if you've enjoyed what you see here, I encourage you to visit the Close to My Heart web site and place an order. My friend Cheri from DJ Sundries gets credit towards her new cricket cartridge when you order. So go show her some love. :-)

Thank you for stopping by today, I hope this helps to get your creative juices flowing.

Have a great weekend,

Autumn Subway Art

I love the fall season, with all of the delicious smells, beautiful colors, and comfort food. It's a time to reflect and be thankful. With each new school year, I seem to notice more of how much has changed in my life, how much my kids have grown, and how quickly time seems to fly. Time has really seemed to go by quickly for me this year. Today is my one year blog anniversary. Yep, that's right, I began blogging one year ago today. So what better way to celebrate than to share a free printable with you!

I designed this Subway Art print using the MY Memories Suite V.3 digital scrapbook program. I have found this program to be so useful. I've used it in many ways that have nothing to do with scrapbooking, although you could use it for that too. ;-) I've used the program to create bridal shower invitations, place cards, and of course today's free printable.

My Memories Bridal Shower Invitations, and Discount Photo Book Offer

So, as you all know, I'm an affiliate with My Memories Suite digital scrapbooking company.

You probably also know that earlier this year My Memories released version 3 of their popular software. As an affiliate I have been allowed to try out this program first hand to see what it can do.  I'm absolutely blown away with everything that this program can do.  My Memories definitely improved upon the old version, this knocks every other scrapbooking program out of the water.

Let me show you what I've done using My Memories Suite v.7

Not only can you use My Memories to create beautiful digital scrapbook layouts, but you can also design your own custom party invitations. This bridal shower invitation was easily created using the My Memories v.3 program. I then printed the invitation onto card-stock, and embellished the flowers with glitter and a pearl. So easy and much more affordable then paying up to $1.50 per invitation using a professional printer.

If you've been curious about the digital scrapbook craze, but haven't wanted to pay for something that you're not sure about, then today's deal is for you. My Memories is generously offering my readers 30% off a photo book,  along with a free trial of My memories v.7!!

Once you've tried the program out for yourself, you may want to purchase the full version.

As always I'm able to offer my readers $10 off the original retail price of the software, and an additional $10 credit to be used in the My Memories store. Just be sure to enter my promo code at check out
