Rejoice, and Be Joyful! Psalm 5:11 Word Art Wednesday Challenge

Oh, My!
I almost forgot to post today!  My apologies for the lateness of this post.
I just want to invite you all to play along in this week's Word Art Wednesday challenge.
The verse for this challenge comes to us from the Psalms.  Always a great choice, the Psalms are like a healing balm for the soul.  Sometimes when I'm struggling to read from God's word, I just go to Psalms and I'm once again filled with awe at the character of my God.
Here is my card design:

I love that this verse reminds us that the source of our Joy is Christ Himself.   Not our circumstances, or our performance or the stuff we have or don't have.

I chose to use Pink Paislee paper from the Citrus Bliss line.  I've been using this line a lot lately.  It's just so bright and cheerful.  Perfect for this verse.  I fussy cut the lemons and added a little distress glitter to the tops.  I then adhered them using foam dimensional squares.

Come on over and join in the challenge at Word Art Wednesday.  The Word Art is free to use but not required to play along.  The theme is "anything goes" and we have awesome sponsors who love to give great prizes to our winners.  Also, if you're on IG please tag us #wawchallenge to be featured!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Blessings,

Back Again for Word Art Wednesday #278-279

Hi There,
Welcome back.   I've been a little MIA lately.  I'm hoping that with summer break right around the corner that I'll be able to stop in more frequently.  But then again, I've said that before.  Haha, that's why I so appreciate those of you who keep coming back, it's for you that I continue to share my craft and my heart.
The Word Art for this challenge is found in John 12:23.

In the context this verse is found, Jesus is referring to the hour of His death on the cross.   But how can glory be found in such a terrible death such as what Christ experienced?    Because in that moment Christ defeated death, the power of sin, and became our once for all sacrificial lamb!   Christ in that moment finished what He had come to do.   Oh, the beautiful, terrible cross.   Such a seeming contradiction,  but all part of God's perfect plan of redemption.

I'm so thankful that Jesus "endured the cross for the joy set before Him".  That He endured it for me and for all those who will believe.

I wish you all a week of growing in the knowledge of Christ.  As we look forward to the celebration of  Easter this Sunday may your heart and mind be drawn to meditate on the gospel and be enraptured by the one who sets us free.

Blessings,
