Clean and Simple Lovely Girl Card

Hello to all of my crafty friends! Just stopping in today to share another card with you all.  My style is usually a little more elaborate than what this card turned out to be. I love my embellishments and patterned papers. But I've also found that my style is constantly evolving, as I admire and am influenced by the work of others, or I may want to try a new technique I've just learned, or it could just be my mood. All of this contributes to my ever changing style. I know that I still have much to learn about paper crafting, and hopefully I will continue to improve over the years.

So here is my take on the clean and simple style. This card came together so quickly, and I love how it turned out. I may just embrace this style.

Thank you so much for your interest, I hope my creative journey can inspire you, just as I've been inspired by others,

Autumn Bird Bliss Card

Okay, so I know it's not autumn, and spring is in full bloom, but I just had to share this card!  I made this card last October, and didn't get around to sharing it. So when Simon Says Stamp and Show hosted a fly challenge this week, I knew it would be the perfect time to bring this card out from hiding.

The paper used for this card is from the MME Meadow collection. The rub ons are also from MME. and the flowers are Prima Marketing.

Here is a close up of the bird, see how it kinda pops off the page, giving the card a more three dimensional effect. To achieve this look, I very carefully cut around the images on the paper using an exacto knife. Then I layered the paper over another piece of coordinating paper.

This was such a fun card to make for a very special friend of mine. I encourage you to try your hand at using an exacto knife in your paper crafting... I am sure you'll come up with something grand. :)

Thank you for the time you took to stop by today,

Spring Pastel Thinking Of You Card

I have a friend who is going through a difficult trial at this time. I really wanted to encourage her, and let her know that I had been praying for her. So, what do I do? Make her a card of course. :)
Once again I was inspired for the design of this card from a free printable. I loved the spring colors on this free printable tag, and the soft feminine vintage feel. I found this tag at the Lilac and Lavender blog. Her beautiful blog will have you hooked with all of her pretty free printables.   If your interested in getting the free printable tag I used on my card, then go here.

For this card I used Echo Park Sweet Day paper as my base, and the grid paper is from My Minds Eye, the rub-ons are from S.E.I. The glass gem in the center of the doily is from Prima Marketing, everything else is from my stash. And lets not forget the gorgeous free printable tag.

As always, thanks for stopping by today,

Victorian Bridal Shower Card

So, I think this must be a record for me... Posting three times in a row! Whoa! What has gotten into me? I would like to share another card with you all today. This card of course features a free printable. I use free printables so often as the inspiration for my cards. This vintage bride image has been kindly shared with us by Karen of the Graphics Fairy.

I made this card for a friend of mine who just got married.
I used Bo Bunny papers for this card, S.E.I flourish rub on, and Teresa Collins lace trim. The brown pearls and Resin flower are from my stash.
I apologize for the poor quality of the picture... I am working on my photography skills. :)

A special shout out to Karen for sharing the Bridal image with us.

wishing you all a wonderful week,
